Our team of trusted advisors consists of our founder, John T O’Donnell, Kathryn R. O’Donnell as the president, and Benedict A. Schlatter as the vice president.
John T. O’Donnell
Founder
Mr. O‘Donnell founded the firm in 1974. He served as the acting president until his unfortunate passing in 2021. He holds a bachelor’s in science from Massachusetts University and a Master‘s of Science from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. Mr. O’Donnell was also a member of New York’s Economics Club.
Kathryn R. O’Donnell
President
Kathryn R. O‘Donnell not only holds a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University and College and a Juris Doctor From Fordham Law School, and Kathryn was admitted to the bar. She is now on the bar in both New York and New Jersey. She worked for Moody’s Investors Service. Like our founder, she is a member of the Economics Club of New York. Kathryn is also a member of the Investment Adviser Association and the Association of the Bar, both in New York. Kathryn has also served on the Board of The Masterwork Chorus and the Endowment Committee of The Museum of Modern Art. In addition to this, she has chaired the Young Patrons Group at the International Center of Photography. A talented woman who can answer any question, she has had a multifaceted career and the talent that you need.
Benedict A. Schlatter
Vice President
Our vice president Benedict A. Schlatter was born in London, though he was educated in the beautiful cities of Tokyo and Hong Kong. He then chose to move to the United States. He has a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar and a Master of Science Management from L’Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commercials, located in the innovative city of Paris. His experience is knowledge of almost two decades in the financial services industry. He also has private banking experience in the country of Switzerland. In addition to this, he has six years of experience working in Emerging Markets at Lehman Brothers. Before joining Makrod, he also worked on Wall Street for Deutsche Bank for six years.
